Petal is licensed in the District of Columbia, in good standing. She is an active member with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), a member of the local New York Chapter, and a member of the American Bar Association. Petal graduated from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. While attending law school, she was very active in the Graduate Law Society and the Family Law Club. After graduating, she worked for a New York Supreme Court Judge, and thereafter worked in other law offices before starting her own practice. Her other educational achievements include a Bachelors of Science in Human Resources Management from the University of Technology, Jamaica and a Masters of Science in Government from the University of West Indies, Mona in Kingston, Jamaica West Indies. Petal is also an Adjunct Instructor at two New York City colleges where she lectures Legal, Paralegal, American Government, and Philosophy to Graduate and Undergraduate students. As an immigrant herself, Petal understands the struggles immigrant faces, and knows that for every potential client, getting honest help is paramount, and this is what makes her good at what she does, because she can relate to the needs of an immigrant.
